Comments and other interactions on YouTube can be public, subject to the platform’s settings. The person who posts a comment can edit or delete it. Channel operators can moderate comments and remove them. See YouTube’s comment help for details.
If you email the channel operator, the message has the information you choose to provide, such as your email address. The operator uses it to reply to you and manage your enquiry. The operator keeps it only as long as needed for these purposes.
